About us
The ultimate mounting block (UMB) was first designed over ten years ago for use in our own yard. Since then, we have manufactured many UMBs for friends and other local yards. The picture gallery shows a selection of UMBs, the oldest of which is ten years old and still in daily use.
We have owned horses for twenty five years and during that time constructed stables, show jumps, cross country courses and arenas as projects for ourselves and others.
Reasons to buy our UMBs
The Ultimate Mounting Blocks are bespoke and have a precise design and manufacture is probably the safest mounting block on the market. They are hand made in the UK by a team of craftsmen with over over 80 years carpentry experience. Our mounting blocks are a fixed and have three steps, all supported to ground level and suitable for use with small ponies as well as large horses. UMBs can also be used during the training of young horses and more so for difficult horses. They can be moved easily by two people.
By using the ultimate Mounting Block, you will be avoiding any stress to your saddle or horse. UMBs are best for you and better for your horse. The design of the UMB makes it particularly convenient for older riders although we have sixteen horses at Ryehill and, without exception, everyone prefers to use the UMBs, including our teenagers.
